Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Merekopucho (operating as Mithro) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our WhatsApp-based assistant service.

1. Information we collect

When you interact with Mithro on WhatsApp, we collect your WhatsApp phone number, the messages you send to Mithro, your preferred language, your general location (city or pincode if provided), and transaction preferences. We do not collect your name, email address, or financial credentials unless you voluntarily provide them during a loan inquiry.

2. How we use your information

We use collected information to understand your request and provide relevant recommendations, to personalise your experience, and to connect you with service providers or financial institutions when you request it. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data storage and security

Your conversation data is stored securely on servers in India (AWS Mumbai region) operated by Supabase, with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Data is retained for 12 months then anonymised or deleted.

4. WhatsApp data

Mithro operates through the WhatsApp Business API by Meta Platforms, Inc. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. We access only messages sent directly to Mithro's number.

5. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023

You have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data and to withdraw consent at any time. Send "Delete my data" to Mithro or email privacy@merekopucho.com.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our WhatsApp service does not use cookies. This website uses no third-party tracking scripts or advertising pixels.

7. Children's privacy

Mithro is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will notify active users of material changes via WhatsApp.
